Cleveland Launcher Golf Driver

Nov 11th, 2009 by admin

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The Cleveland Launcher is an absolutely fabulous value and a tremendous addition to any golfer’s bag. It has a massive titanium footprint with the back portion elongated to offer that promised high MOI., allowing generous room for miss-hits resulting in maximum forgiveness. With only a half millimeter in thickness, the new Launcher crown is the thinnest possible, moving every bit of potential weight low and deep to improve the center of gravity, optimize launch conditions and maximize distance. The horseshoe-shaped weight pad on the rear perimeter of the sole significantly improves launch conditions and stability on miss-hits by localizing weight low and deep, improving both MOI and center of gravity location.

The main point of difference with Cleveland’s previous Launcher is the removal of the scooped out crown that has been a feature of the HiBore range. The scooped out look has been binned and replaced with a more traditional crown that offers universal appeal. The sound off the face is inoffensive yet powerful and provides a medium trajectory.

PROS:

The huge head of the driver is a big confidence booster to those looking for solid dependability without the need to tweak weights, shafts and face angles in search of the optimum trajectory. This driver dwarfs the ball at address, but presents a very clean look, with none of the bulge and role found in other drivers. This encourages the golfer to think positively that the ball is heading ’straight’ down the fairway.

 CONS:

Some players have complained about the size of the head not looking right and the high pitched impact sound being a little bit of a turnoff. You might need to change the grip since the original one feels a little hard and slippery. However, the main feature is the astonishingly difference in price. It is around $150 cheaper than its counterparts.

 RECOMMENDATIONS:

This driver is suitable for both amateurs and professional golfers.
